History of Collection
Welcome to my site and Buddha collection. I am a commercial flower grower and wholesaler by trade but my passion lies in collecting and admiring Buddhas.
I have been traveling to South East Asia since the late 70s and I developed an interest for Asian history. About 15 years ago, I started collecting Asian antiques, mainly porcelain and then within a few years, I changed to South East Asian Buddhas. Now I mainly collect Buddhas from Laos. My collection continues to grow so I thought it was time to start an online business to sell some of them. When you are a collector, it is very hard to sell your precious treasures but I have to as I am running out of room in my house!
The utmost care is taken in establishing the ages of the Buddhas by performing extensive research, networking and throwing in a bit of personal experience. Laotian Buddhas are made in many different styles and with many different influences from Burma China, India Sri Lanka and Cambodia but mainly from Thailand.
